Welcome to DeSoto Bluffs Campground. This guide explains what is included in your stay, how to reach your assigned site when you arrive, and what to prepare for a comfortable visit.
Before You Arrive
Will my RV fit?
We accommodate campers up to 55 feet in length, not including the tow vehicle. Site lengths range from 28 to 60 feet, so check the length of your site. Currently, all our RV sites are back-in sites. In Phase 2, we will offer pull-through sites.
How many campers, vehicles, and guests are allowed?
Each reservation allows one camper, one tow vehicle, and up to six guests. Your RV must accommodate all guest overnight inside the RV.
Can I choose my site?
Yes. You can select a specific site that is available for your selected nights. Guests are assigned a specific RV site at the time of booking.
Is there a minimum stay?
No. We do not require a minimum stay.
Where can I find the cancellation policy?
Cancellation terms are covered in the campground policies and rules provided at the time of booking. Please carefully review those terms before you book.
What Your Stay Includes
What is included in the nightly price?
Your nightly price includes electric hookup, water, sewer, and fiber-optic Wi-Fi at your own RV pad, along with access to picnic tables, fire pits, rock climbing walls and hiking trails.
Will I have a bluff view?
Sites situated on the bluff have direct bluff views. Guests at other sites can enjoy the views from common spaces along the edge of the brow. If a direct view from your RV site is important, select an available bluff-side site.
Is firewood available?
Firewood for the fire pits can be added when you book. To limit risk of wildfires, all fires must be built within the designated fire pits that we provide.
When You First Arrive
Where should I go upon entering the campground?
If you arrive with a reservation, you can make your way directly to your assigned RV site and begin setting up. You should occupy only the specific site assigned to your reservation.
How do I connect to Wi-Fi?
At registration, guests receive internet access information for the fiber-optic Wi-Fi available throughout the campground, including at their own RV pad.
What if I show up without a reservation?
Reservations are required before arrival. There is no office with staff on site, so we cannot check in guests who arrive without a reservation. Book online before you arrive, or call the campground phone at 256-997-7393 if you have questions.
Facilities and Nearby Essentials
Does my RV need to be self-contained?
Yes. RVs must be self-contained. Our first phase does not include a bathhouse or laundry facility, so plan to use shower and toilet facilities inside your RV during your stay.
Are a bathhouse and laundry facility planned?
We expect to build a bathhouse and laundry facility during Phase 2 construction. These are planned improvements and are not currently available.
Where is the nearest grocery store?
The nearest grocery store, Food City, is at the South-Y in Fort Payne, 5 miles from the campground entrance— an 11-minute drive.
Where is the nearest RV repair shop?
P&F RV Repair, 2828 County Road 51 N, Fort Payne. 256-996-5844. 10 miles from the campground entrance, a 15 minute drive.
Where can I find fuel, propane, and RV supplies?
Five Points Quick Stop is 3 miles north of DeSoto Bluffs Campground—a 4-minute drive—and is the nearest location for fuel, propane, and RV supplies. Driving times are approximate.
Arrival Checklist
- Confirm your reservation dates and assigned site before traveling.
- Confirm that your RV is no longer than your site’s length (28 to 60 feet), excluding the tow vehicle.
- Plan for one camper, one tow vehicle, and no more than six guests, all sleeping inside your RV.
- Keep your registration information and Wi-Fi access details handy.
- Review the campground policies and rules, including pet allowance, and cancellation policy.
